Your mantle is one of the best places to reflect the mood of the season. Here are three very different looks using easily acquired items.
- Rustic: Gather an odd number of copper vessels in various sizes and shapes. Fill in the space between the pots and vases with gourds, pinecones, and greenery.
- Elegant: Purchase some beaded fruits at a craft or home furnishing store. Arrange them on a rectangular plate in the center of the mantle. Add a tall manicured topiary on each side of the arrangement.
- Modern: For a striking, yet pared down look, simply arrange three pumpkins or large gourds in a straight line. Sounds too easy? Give it a try. This fresh, minimalist approach turns vegetables into modern art by showcasing their natural form.
